Old Fashion Goulash
Goulash is just that wholesome food we all love! It’s just a classic dish I remember having as a child and gives you that nostalgic feeling. It’s filled with hearty ground beef, and a rich tomato base sauce. Perfect for a quick dinner night and all made in just one pan! Yes, I said one pan including the noodles.
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoon Butter
- 3 Tablespoon Garlic
- 1/2 Cup Onion
- 2 Pounds Ground beef
- 1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
- 1 Tablespoon Onion Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Pepper
- 1 Tablespoon Salt
- 1/4 Cup Worcestershire
- 2 Cups Tomato Sauce (I prefer Rao’s)/li>
- 2 Cups Beef Broth/li>
- 1 Box Pasta Noodle of choice (Shell, Macaroni, Bow Tie)/li>
Directions
- In a large saucepan add in your ground beef with Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, onion powder. Once cooked pull from pan and set aside.
- On medium heat add in butter, and garlic. Let garlic cook for 1-2 minutes. Add in the onion. Let the onion cook for a few minutes.
- Next we will combine tomato sauce, beef broth Worcestershire and noodles. If noodles aren’t fully saturated add in a little water to make sure the noodles are submerged. Place lid on for about 20-25 minutes stirring occasionally and checking to see if noodles are finished cooking. Every noodle has a different cook time so until you know the recipe, I highly recommend watching the noodles closely. Once finished top with some cheese if you prefer and enjoy this hearty wholesome meal!
